The name for my blog came to me in the middle of the night in January 2021. I’ve never had tea in a caboose, I’ve never even seen the inside of a caboose.

But my concept is a little home on the move, a space filled with books, art materials, a computer packed with photos, a few knick-knacks and a teapot. A romanticized gypsy caravan, as a nod to my Hungarian heritage? Or maybe a little prairie nostalgia rolling along the rails.

My caboose resembles my backyard She Shed that’s filled with second-hand treasures and has no need for luxury.

My caboose is a lot like our VW camper van, small and comfortable and where I always feel I'm just where I belong.

And tea of course, is the simplest of domestic pleasures.

So it's Tea in a Caboose, my metaphorical "happy place" as people say. With a variety of themes from my collection of photos and my interests past and present, I hope you might find a few things to enjoy.
