Up close and personal with these friendly creatures at the Green Iguana Conservation Project - San Ignacio, Belize. Just pictures in this short post, for a quick easy scroll.
It's especially for our 4 1/2 year-old grandson Sam, who loves iguanas, chameleons, salamanders, geckos and other reptiles. Count those tails Sam!
These photos were taken in February, 2011 when we took the bus down the coast from Cancun airport and crossed the border near Chetumal, Mexico into Belize.
The iguana project is still active in 2022, if you happen to be considering a trip to the small country of Belize. The creatures seem to like being handled and climbing on visitors, and donations help pay for their care.
